ABOUT
Speed helps men find the depth, meaning, and connection that professional achievement alone can't provide.
Drawing from his prior career as an accomplished, but unfulfilled, Hollywood TV writer, he guides men out of the isolation that often accompanies success.
A graduate of John Wineland and Kendra Cunov’s thousand-hour Embodiment Teacher Training Program, Speed teaches his own proven path for men to get out of their heads, access their own embodied clarity, and feel the deep sensation of fulfillment they’ve been missing.
A Note from Speed
For years, I felt stuck. Frustrated. Despite my success as a TV writer, I was over-burdened and living almost entirely in my head. Therapy helped some, but it often kept me right where the problem was—in my thoughts.
Like a lot of men, I was also quietly lonely, thinking I had to figure everything out by myself. I could feel that I wanted to be a better man for my family and my community, but I saw few positive models to follow.
Finding men's embodiment work solved both those problems at a level I couldn't have imagined. It felt like coming home to myself. This work demands rigor and commitment, but it has transformed every aspect of my life. I share it now because I know there are other men on this same path, looking for a way back to their own strength, integrity, and sense of purpose.
My journey is at the heart of what I teach.

“Diving into this lineage of men’s embodiment work has transformed every aspect of my life.“
FULL BIO
Speed Weed is a teacher of embodied men's work who helps successful men find the depth, meaning, and connection that professional achievement alone can't provide.
For many successful men, their professional accomplishments don’t always quiet the persistent feeling of being stuck, isolated, or living almost entirely in their heads. Speed knows this territory intimately. Before becoming a leader of men's work, he spent two decades as a sought-after television writer and producer for hit shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and The Summer I Turned Pretty. He had reached a pinnacle of his career, yet found himself feeling isolated, confused, and lacking the positive models of manhood he wanted to emulate.
The transformation began when he discovered men's embodiment work, a path that brings awareness out of the mind and into the innate intelligence of the body. For Speed, this shift was profound. It led to clearer decisions, a greater capacity for presence, and a deeper sense of trust from the people he loved, and for himself. He describes it not as an esoteric practice, but as a return to a birthright of embodied knowing that every man possesses.
He has studied with many teachers of embodiment, including Amir Khalighi, Nghia Tran and Taylor Johnson. He is a graduate of John Wineland and Kendra Cunov’s rigorous 1000-hour Teacher Training where he received his certification in Masculine Embodiment.
Convinced that these teachings are essential in today's world, Speed now dedicates his time to sharing them. He guides men on the same journey he traveled: out of emotional isolation and into the strength of true brotherhood and self-trust. His work is grounded in rigor and commitment, but also in the joy of rediscovery. He now teaches his own proven framework for men to access a more generative, loving masculinity and feel the deep sensation of fulfillment they’ve been missing.
And while his name is Speed, he champions the power of slowing down, finding the deep clarity and strength that come from true presence.
Deep gratitude to my teachers, including John Wineland, Kendra Cunov, Amir Khalighi, Nghia Tran and Taylor Johnson.
Working Deep welcomes men of all backgrounds and sexual orientations — as well as non-binary people who wish to expand their masculine .

EMBODIMENT AND BROTHERHOOD
Men’s embodiment work has roots in ancient traditions.
Through practices derived from yoga, qigong, meditation and martial arts, we expand our nervous systems and strengthen our hearts.
Our bodies hold wisdom best accessed in brotherhood. We form a tribe of trust.
